Arrived when they said they would, were very polite, respectful and pleasant people. Found answers to questions we didn’t realise about the installation and though we haven’t yet finished the project the windows are a very exciting and big step forward for us. Read moreBowalker replaced all of our windows and patio doors in November. They are very efficient and got the job done in the pouring rain but did it quick and professionally. We had a couple of teething issues with the doors after completion and they did not hesitate to come out and rectify the issue. Excellent customer service and a friendly team. Would highly recommend
Read moreWe had a total of 6 windows fitted at end of June 2025 (2 bathroom(frosted), 1 hallway,1 dining room and two big bay windows complete with 2 window boards). Took 5 days in total as bay windows were load bearing ,the window boards were not in warehouse so took extra time to arrive and fit , the silicone/mastic finish wasn’t great and they cut one end of a window board wrong , but after a telephone call a new team of fitters came out and rectified the mistakes of original fitters that we had noticed , a window pane had got scratched in delivery so they replaced that as well. This was a big job that entailed some mistakes but over time was rectified by bowalker windows by sending out another team of fitters to fix some minor mistakes of original fitters . We went on a recommendation from a work colleague who had used Bowalker windows in the past as were very good. Maybe just improve your fitters mastic silicone skills a bit more but is is an old house of 110 years and nothing is level in this house

Frequently Asked Questions
Which Window Styles Are Best for Homes in Horsham?
The most suitable window styles for homes in Horsham are uPVC windows, casement windows, and double glazed options. uPVC windows provide strong weather resistance and low maintenance, making them a popular choice for both traditional and modern homes. Casement windows allow for wide openings and effective ventilation, while double glazed windows improve thermal efficiency and help reduce outside noise. By selecting these styles through a windows and door specialist Horsham, homeowners benefit from improved comfort, increased security, and added property value.
Just as window selection should reflect both practical needs and architectural style, choosing the right doors for Horsham homes also requires careful consideration of the property’s age and local guidelines.
Which Door Types Are Suitable for Properties in Horsham?
The right door types for Horsham properties depend on whether the building is a period home or a modern construction, as well as on local planning requirements. For period homes, especially those in conservation areas, Bowalker Windows Limited recommends bespoke timber doors or composite doors that replicate traditional designs and meet heritage standards, while modern properties are well-suited to aluminium bi-fold, sliding patio, or aluminium front doors with slim frames and contemporary finishes. Timber doors provide a traditional look but require regular maintenance, composite doors combine authentic appearance with lower upkeep, aluminium doors are popular for their durability and minimal maintenance, and uPVC doors offer a practical, efficient option for newer homes. Changes to doors in conservation areas or listed buildings may require planning permission, so it is important to check local regulations before starting any replacement project with a windows and door specialist Horsham.
Just as door selection must align with both aesthetic and regulatory considerations, choosing the right rooflights for your Horsham property also involves balancing style, function, and compliance with local guidelines.
Which Rooflight Options Are Available for Horsham Homes?
Yes, Horsham homeowners have access to a wide range of rooflight options through Bowalker Windows Limited, each suited to different property styles and requirements. Fixed flat rooflights are popular for modern extensions and offer features such as self-cleaning glass, double or triple glazing, and thermal efficiency with U-values from 1.4 W/m²K, available in uPVC or aluminium frames. Slimline roof lanterns provide a contemporary look with minimal framing and maximise natural light, while pitched roof windows are ideal for loft conversions or traditional homes, with options including centre-pivot, top-hung, and conservation models designed for sensitive areas. Some rooflight designs are specifically made to meet conservation area guidelines, and as a FENSA-registered windows and door specialist Horsham, we offer insurance-backed guarantees on all installations.
When Should Roofline Products Be Upgraded in Horsham?
Roofline products should be upgraded when you notice visible signs such as leaks, rot, sagging, or persistent damp around the eaves or fascia, as these indicate that the existing materials are no longer protecting the property effectively. In Horsham, local weather conditions and the age of the property can accelerate wear on roofline components, making issues like water ingress or timber decay more likely over time. Acting promptly to replace deteriorating roofline products helps prevent structural damage to your home, and Bowalker Windows Limited recommends consulting a windows and door specialist Horsham if you observe any of these problems.
When considering an upgrade, it’s reassuring to know that Bowalker Windows Limited stands behind their work with comprehensive guarantees for Horsham homeowners.
What Guarantee Comes with Bowalker Installations in Horsham?
Yes, Bowalker installations in Horsham come with a 10-year insurance-backed guarantee on every window and door project, covering both workmanship and product performance from the date of installation. This guarantee applies to the full range of products we fit, including upvc windows, composite doors, and double glazed units, and protects against faults in materials or installation quality. Homeowners choosing Bowalker Windows Limited benefit from the added security of knowing that any issues related to the installation or product durability are addressed directly by us, reflecting our commitment to high quality standards and customer satisfaction as a windows and door specialist Horsham.
How Do I Maintain Replacement Windows in Horsham?
Regular maintenance keeps replacement windows from Bowalker Windows Limited performing well over time. Cleaning the frames and glass with mild soapy water, checking and lubricating moving parts such as hinges and handles, and inspecting seals for any signs of drafts or wear are the main steps we recommend as a windows and door specialist Horsham homeowners trust. If you notice persistent issues like condensation between panes or difficulty opening and closing, it is best to arrange a professional inspection to address any underlying problems with your replacement windows.
Just as with windows, maintaining your doors properly ensures they remain functional and attractive for years to come.
How Do I Care for New Doors in Horsham?
Yes, caring for new doors from a windows and door specialist Horsham involves regular cleaning, annual lubrication, and prompt attention to any issues. Clean the frames and glass with mild soapy water to remove dirt and maintain the finish, lubricate moving parts like hinges and locks once a year to keep them operating smoothly, and watch for signs such as sticking, draughts, or stiff locks that may indicate alignment or hardware problems. Materials like uPVC, composite, or timber each have their own care needs, so always follow the manufacturer’s guidance for your specific door type. For persistent issues or if you notice changes in how the door fits or seals, contact Bowalker Windows Limited for professional servicing to keep your doors in top condition.
Just as doors require ongoing attention to function at their best, rooflights also benefit from a consistent maintenance routine.
How Should Rooflights Be Maintained in Horsham?
Yes, regular maintenance is necessary for rooflights to maintain their performance and lifespan as part of our windows and door specialist Horsham service. Cleaning the glass and frames with suitable products, inspecting seals for signs of leaks, and checking that any opening mechanisms are free from debris and move smoothly are the main steps we recommend. If you notice persistent condensation or difficulty operating the rooflight, Bowalker Windows Limited advises consulting a specialist to prevent further issues with your Horsham property.
When considering new installations or replacements, understanding the material options for windows and doors is just as important as maintaining existing features like rooflights.
What Materials Are Available for Windows and Doors?
The main materials available for windows and doors from a windows and door specialist Horsham are uPVC, aluminium, timber, and composite, each offering distinct strengths and best uses. uPVC is popular for its low maintenance and efficient thermal performance, making it suitable for modern homes and those seeking a practical option. Aluminium provides slim frames and high durability, which works well for contemporary designs and large glass areas, though it comes at a higher initial cost. Timber delivers a traditional, elegant appearance and strong insulation, but it requires regular upkeep and is often chosen for period properties or conservation areas. Composite, mainly used for doors, combines materials like timber and GRP to achieve robust security and weather resistance, making it suitable for front and back entrances. Local specialists such as Bowalker Windows Limited can recommend the right material for your property’s style, performance needs, and budget.
Once you have selected the ideal materials for your windows and doors, the next consideration is how long the installation process will take.
How Long Does Installation Take in Horsham?
Yes, a standard windows and door specialist Horsham installation is usually completed within a few days, depending on the specific windows and doors being fitted and the complexity of the property. Larger projects or those involving custom products, structural changes, or heritage features may require additional time to accommodate technical surveys, precise measurements, and careful fitting. For the most accurate schedule, we recommend discussing your specific requirements with Bowalker Windows Limited during the quotation process, so your installation timeline is clear from the outset.
